FAQ
FAQ
Do you have a specialty?
Cabinet painting, click here for more information.
How soon can you begin my project?
Summer schedules fill up fast, so plan ahead if possible. Winter projects usually have a shorter wait. If you require emergency carpentry services, I can often squeeze something in during the evenings or weekends.
Do you work by the hour?
Yes, I can, at approximately $35 to $50/hour.
Do you offer faux painting or wallpapering?
No – I’ve done a little faux painting and a fair amount of wallpapering, but prefer not to.
How long have you been in the painting and remodeling business?
A long time – over twenty-five years!
Do you remove wallpaper?
Yes, I do. I can also repair the walls beneath if necessary.
What areas (towns) do you work in?
The Southern Maine towns include Falmouth, Cumberland, Yarmouth, North Yarmouth, Freeport, Brunswick, Durham, Gray, New Gloucester, and Pownal, where we live.
How big is your crew?
I work mostly by myself. On occasion, I have help.
Can you patch walls and ceilings? Say for example after a water leak or just in general with settling cracks?
Yes, I do that on a regular basis. I also enjoy using low-odor, low-VOC (volatile organic compounds) products to make the experience as minimal as I can for you. I even know of a water-based product not used by many painters that acts as a good replacement for oil primers!
