I prefer  and recommend "green" construction materials and paints whenever possible--for the health of you, me and the planet. I try to make them affordable to you by giving them to you at my cost.

So what do I mean by "green" materials? For one, I use 'healthy' paint that does not contain the harmful chemicals known as Volatile Organic Compounds (VOC's). These toxins are the reasons for most odors and irritants associated with painting.

The EPA states that "VOC's include a variety of chemicals, some of which may have short- and long-term adverse health effects. Concentrations of many VOC's are consistently higher indoors (up to ten times higher) than outdoors.  VOC's are emitted by a wide array of products numbering in the thousands, including paints and lacquers."

So, wherever possible, I use paints that do contain the lowest levels of VOC's possible.
